In Honor of the 25th Anniversary of TradeWars that was released June 5th 2011, I have decided to re-create my TradeWars server list. I have written a brand new crawler called MicroBot, which is written in C# and uses the .net CodeDom runtime compiler to script multiple telnet sessions at the same time. Don't be alarmed if you see MicroBot logging into your server, as it's just there collecting game stats.

TWGS v2.16 is available for download at http://www.eisonline.com/downloads. This is a minor update with one major bug fix. The most significant change is that move delays of < 250 ms are now allowed at the gameop's discretion. Move delays of < 250 ms can make the game unstable. With this setting, gameops can experiment to determine the maximum stable move speed for their system.

The annual BOTE Tournament will be held on December 1st, 2011 and will start at 8pm EST.
